Air Jordan 15

Michael Jordan's second retirement did not put an end to his collaboration with Nike. In 1999, the world was introduced to yet another installment of the Air Jordan brand. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, Air Jordan XV was the first official Jordan brand release never worn by the Jumpman on the court. And frankly, from the first look at them, you can see that they were not designed with basketball in mind.

Inspired by NASA's X-15 fighter jet, Air Jordan 15 sneakers introduced a more futuristic approach to their design. However, Hatfield drew inspiration also from premium Italian shoes, adding a woven pattern on the upper. This mix of futurism and sophistication makes AJ 15s look absolutely spectacular, marking the new chapter for the MJ's brand.

Interestingly, though, the 15th installment to the Air Jordan brand did not receive a positive reception when they were first introduced back in 1999, with fans complaining about the poor quality of the sneakers. Fortunately, Nike listened carefully to the fans and introduced all the necessary upgrades straight away. Because of this, Air Jordan 15 remains one of the best-selling Jordan sneakers.

Initially, Air Jordan XV was available in two colors - flint grey and white. However, just like all the other Jordans, more colors and editions soon followed. Nowadays, you can choose from many different variants. As for the price, it all depends on the variant you seek. For instance, if you want to grab a limited edition made for a special occasion, you might expect a price tag worth even a few thousand dollars. For classic pairs, you should pay much less than this, though.

And here at Kicks Crew, we offer a variety of popular Air Jordan sneakers, all at great prices, so make sure to check out our store. Choose your pair of Jordans today, and add that MJ's magic to your style.
